TaterEdit is a text editor where the user can define code clip as snippet then type the abbreviate to expand as predefined code clip. In code clip, user can use snippet variable to customize the code clip at run-time.
TaterEdit supports FTP and SFTP to edit remote file directly, MetaWeblog protocol to download and publish blog directly and MediaWiki API to view Wikipedia or other wiki hosted by MediaWiki.
Also supports many character encodings, such as ASCII, UTF-8, ISO-8859-1, Big5, Shift-JIS and GBK.
User can open the different encoded text file, and convert it to supported encoding.
